Kylie Minogue - The X Sides

Everyone and their mother knows that the pop pixie Kylie Minogue is finally coming back this year with her new album called ''X''. Only the fans know, however, that during 2007 a lot of great dance tunes from Miss Minogue leaked to the Internet. Kylie Minogue: The X Sides is a compilation of all the songs that leaked in 2007. Don't trick yourself thinking these songs are sub par - all fifteen tracks are hardcore dancing tracks that won't keep you sitting down for long!
From the start to it's finish, the album is packed with quality dance tracks. From the dark and sultry opening track ''Lose Control'' that begs you to twist it and turn it the material sets a fast pace, clearly showing what to expect from ''X'' once it's out. Throughout the trippy dance track Tripping Me Up, dancefloor bomb Excuse My French, an empowering dance anthem I Am Ready the album opens up on a high note.
Such quality doesn't stop there, because Stars, one of the albums best tracks is really something to talk about. It's as deep as it is fun, and would work excellently as a single on the actual ''X'' album.
The track In My Arms is powerful, sizzling and hot - it's crazy synth reminiscent of Britney's Toxic. And just like that - the album flows through magnificently, sometimes slowing down for an occasional sexy breakdown, but always keeping up the fast pace driven by hard beats and instrumentations. The closing tracks take Kylie back to the 80's, with a dash of satisfying Kylie-esque electro synths.
A strong b-side/demo compilation like this sounds better than most of the ready albums pop artists chuck out these days, so it's scary to even think about how great the ''X'' album itself will sound. Until then, enjoy Kylie Minogue: The X Sides, because great dance music is always bad to pass.
